I had the opportunity to stay in Madura, Indonesia, sleeping on the beach. This was not a resort but a little camp set up by the villagers for a small group of visitors. This is only done by special arrangement and at most, once per year. We slept in the intricately hand carved beds right on the beach and we could purchase these as well as any of the furniture or items made by the Indonesian people used for the camp I woke up one morning in my amazing bed and saw a villager peddling by on his bicycle on the beach- probably going to work. What an inspirational experience!
